According to police sources, in October 2022, Judicial Magistrate Somshuvro Ghoshal lodged a complaint with the Bidhannagar Cyber Crime Police that he tried to book a five-star hotel online to visit Puri with his family. At that time someone called him for the booking process of that hotel. On the phone he was asked to deposit money for hotel booking. And so he is given an account details. He also transferred 92 thousand rupees to that account. But after a few days, when you check the hotel, you will find that no booking has been made in that hotel in his name.

Realizing that he was a victim of fraud, he went to the police immediately. After starting the investigation of the incident, the police came to know that this fraud cycle was being carried out by creating a fake website in the name of the hotel. After that, the police raided Rajasthan's Bharatpur area on the basis that the money was deposited in which account. From there, the police arrested the main accused of this incident, Prem Chand. Prem Chand was brought to Kolkata on transit remand on Friday. He will be produced in Bidhannagar court today. The police of Bidhannagar Cyber Crime Police have started the investigation of who else is involved in this cycle.
